The Container Project is a community media lab in a 40 foot shipping container in rural Jamaica. It was initiated in 2003 by Mervin Jarman, a media artist from the UK based (h)activist group, Mongrel Collective. Mervin fulfilled his dream of returning to Jamaica to start the Container Project in the community where he grew up. In March 2006, Camille and Jennifer delivered three-week digital storytelling and media leadership program at the Container. Community leaders learned how to make their own digital stories and how to teach others.

This project was funded by Canada Council for the Arts, UNESCO and H.E.A.R.T NTA in partnership with The Container Project, Year Zero One and Central Neighbourhood House.
